Healthy and Easy Celery | Tiffin Ideas | Nutrition Series

Description:

This is the shortest recipe so far. I hope you don't get mad at me for this...
Do kids like celery?
I certainly did not, when I was a kid.
So, today's recipe is a rather simple one.
This 'Recipe' is more of a healthier way to consume celery.
This will do the best when kept beside a healthy sandwich such as the link given below:

Healthy Ham Sandwich | Tiffin Ideas | Nutrition Series

So, let's get started:

Recipe:

Ingredients

How to make

  1. First, take a piece of celery, make sure it is clean.
  2. Next, take a small amount of Cream Cheese and put it on the celery in a straight line.
  3. Next, take the raisins or nuts and place them on the cream cheese in one line with some gaps between each other.
  4. This looks like ants walking in a tree stalk or a branch.(Trust me, kids have very good imagination)
  5. And, that's all!

A great thanks to Cecilia for the request of this recipe, your requests grow us bigger!

Description:

Today, we take a look at 'Tiffin Ideas'.
This is a sub-series of our Nutrition Series.
The 'Tiffin Ideas' sub-series, will contain 4 recipes, one posted every Sunday.

When your kids start going to school, it puts you in a dilemma of making the best lunch.
We will show you the recipes that are under the regulations of the school.
These recipes are Easy, Healthy and the most important thing, they are delicious.
So, let's get started.

Recipe:

Ingredients

  • 2 slices of whole wheat bread (the normal one is good but not as healthy).
  • 1 Avocado.
  • 2 tsp. Cream Cheese.
  • 2 slices of ham.

How to make

  1. Take a slice of bread and apply cream cheese to it. Check out this link for an Easy Cream Cheese Recipe : Homemade Cream Cheese | 2 Ingredients | Baking Basics
  2. Next, cut an avocado in half and with a butter knife, apply the inner side (pulp?) and not the peel to the bread. This works as a substitute for butter.  :

  3. Next, cut the two slices of ham in half and place them on the bread as shown below:
  4. Next, place the other slice on top and your sandwich is ready!
  5. You can also use a cookie cutter to cut the sandwich into different shapes, the kids will love this.
