The Cheese Balls are a great way to start off a party or, even a dinner.
Cheese balls make a great finger food, and can also be eaten with a fork and a knife.
This recipe is the Vegetarian (not Vegan) Variant.
If you want a Non-Vegetarian Recipe, just tell me in the comments and I will be more than happy to post it!

Recipe:

Ingredients

  • 100 grams or 3 small or 2 medium or 1 large potato, boiled till soft, peeled and mashed.
  • 60 grams or 1/2 cup of tightly packed Cheese, Cheddar or Processed Cheese.
  • Black Pepper, crushed to taste (preferably 1/4 tsp.).
  • 3.5 - 4 tbsp. Gram Flour or All Purpose flour (maida).
  • 1 pinch Garam Masala, optional.
  • Chopped Coriander Leaves or Parsley.
  • Salt to taste.
  • Oil, for frying.

How To Make

The Cheese Mixture

  1. Grate the 60 grams of Cheese, it should fill half cup, tightly packed. Add some salt and pepper to it.
  2.  Let the mashed potatoes come to room temperature.
  3. To the mashed potatoes add the Black Pepper, Salt, Garam Masala and the Coriander Leaves.
  4. Then, add the Gram Flour, mix well.
  5. Then, take the grated cheese and mix it well with the potatoes. Make sure the salt and pepper is to taste.
  6. Make small balls out of the mixture and one tiny ball (to check if the oil is heated).

 Frying The Cheese Balls

  1. Heat the oil for deep frying in a pan.
  2. When the oil becomes hot, add the tiny cheese ball. The temperature can be from 170-190℃.
  3.  Make sure the oil is hot, or the cheese balls may get soggy and break.
  4. If the tiny cheese does not break, that means that the oil is ready. If it breaks, then add 1-2 tbsp. of gram flour to the mixture and mix well.
  5. Once the oil is heated, add the other Cheese Balls to the frying pan.
  6. With a slotted spoon, flip them so that they get fried evenly form all the sides.
  7. Once golden brown, transfer the cheese balls to a kitchen paper to remove the excess oil.
  8. Voila! Your Cheese Balls are ready! Serve hot with ketchup or any other dip of your preference or even Mayonnaise!
