Basic sponge Cake | Microwave Recipe

Description:

Ahhh! The sponge cake!
It is a delicious continental dessert.
Sponge Cakes are loved by anyone, can be eaten anytime, and now, can be made in a microwave!
Kids, especially love it!

Recipe:

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup Butter, melted.
  • 1/2 cup Sugar.
  • 1 cup Flour (maida).
  • 1 tsp. Baking Powder.
  • 2 Eggs.
  • 4 tbsp. Milk.
  • 1 tsp. Vanilla Essence.

 How To Make

  1. Sieve Flour and Baking Powder in a bowl, and, keep it aside.
  2. In a bowl, mix Butter, Sugar, Eggs and Milk. make sure to mix it well.
  3. Next, beat the mixture for a good 5 minutes. 
  4. The whisking/beating is very important as it bring fluffiness to the cake.
  5. Next, add the Baking Powder and Flour into this mixture.
  6. Mix well, don't let there be any lumps in the batter/mixture.
  7. Next, add the essence and mix well.
  8. Blend/beat/whisk it again to make sure it bakes to be light and fulffy.
  9. Bake for 60 seconds in a 600W microwave.
  10. Let it cool, cut it into any shape you want and serve.
  11. Voila! Your Microwave Sponge Cake is ready!!! Enjoy!
