Cheese Balls Recipe

Description:

This recipe has been requested by one of my friends, who wants to stay anonymous.
So, if you want a recipe just put the dish's name in the comments!😄
The Cheese Balls are a great way to start off a party or, even a dinner.
Cheese balls make a great finger food, and can also be eaten with a fork and a knife.
This recipe is the Vegetarian (not Vegan) Variant.
If you want a Non-Vegetarian Recipe, just tell me in the comments and I will be more than happy to post it!

Recipe:

Ingredients

  • 100 grams or 3 small or 2 medium or 1 large potato, boiled till soft, peeled and mashed.
  • 60 grams or 1/2 cup of tightly packed Cheese, Cheddar or Processed Cheese.
  • Black Pepper, crushed to taste (preferably 1/4 tsp.).
  • 3.5 - 4 tbsp. Gram Flour or All Purpose flour (maida).
  • 1 pinch Garam Masala, optional.
  • Chopped Coriander Leaves or Parsley.
  • Salt to taste.
  • Oil, for frying.

How To Make

The Cheese Mixture

  1. Grate the 60 grams of Cheese, it should fill half cup, tightly packed. Add some salt and pepper to it.
  2.  Let the mashed potatoes come to room temperature.
  3. To the mashed potatoes add the Black Pepper, Salt, Garam Masala and the Coriander Leaves.
  4. Then, add the Gram Flour, mix well.
  5. Then, take the grated cheese and mix it well with the potatoes. Make sure the salt and pepper is to taste.
  6. Make small balls out of the mixture and one tiny ball (to check if the oil is heated).

 Frying The Cheese Balls

  1. Heat the oil for deep frying in a pan.
  2. When the oil becomes hot, add the tiny cheese ball. The temperature can be from 170-190℃.
  3.  Make sure the oil is hot, or the cheese balls may get soggy and break.
  4. If the tiny cheese does not break, that means that the oil is ready. If it breaks, then add 1-2 tbsp. of gram flour to the mixture and mix well.
  5. Once the oil is heated, add the other Cheese Balls to the frying pan.
  6. With a slotted spoon, flip them so that they get fried evenly form all the sides.
  7. Once golden brown, transfer the cheese balls to a kitchen paper to remove the excess oil.
  8. Voila! Your Cheese Balls are ready! Serve hot with ketchup or any other dip of your preference or even Mayonnaise!

Easy Mayonnaise Recipe

Description:

So, today we take a look at Mayonnaise Recipe.
But this is not just Mayonnaise, it is Easy To Make Mayonnaise.
Why make mayo at home you ask?
Once you try homemade mayonnaise, the super market mayo will not taste the same...
Also, I know that some places don't have mayonnaise.
As I used Mayonnaise in my previous recipe, I wanted to share an Easy Mayonnaise Recipe.

Recipe:

Ingredients

All of the below given ingredients work the best, if they are at room temperature.
  • 2 large, FRESH, Eggs.
  • 1 to 1 1/2 cups of oil (I prefer unflavored oil).
  • 1 to 2 tbsp. of Lemon Juice.
  • 1/4 to 1 tbsp. of Mustard powder (optional).

How To Make

  1.  If you have a bottle with a nozzle, put your chosen type of oil in it. A dropper or a spoon will work too.
  2. Crack open the eggs and separate the whites and yolks(the yellow part). We just need the yolks.
  3. Put the two yolks of the two eggs in two different bowls.
  4. Then in one bowl of the above given two, add 1/2 tsp. of Salt and Mustard.
  5. Start beating it at a slow speed.
  6. Next, add the oil DROP-BY-DROP into the mixture while beating it at a slow speed. It is very important that you add the oil DROP-BY-DROP. If you are lucky, your mixture will look smooth (that's not what happened in my case), or it may separates into an icky egg drop oil.
  7. Now, keep the mixture aside, and take you whisk to the second bowl (the one with the yolk, remember?).
  8. Beat this second yolk just like the first yolk till it becomes sticky(don't add oil though).
  9. Now, add the oil mixture of the first bowl to this bowl, one spoonful at a time, while whisking.
  10. Make sure to beat each spoonful properly.
  11. Keep adding the eggdrop oil, until it is finished.
  12. At this point, you can start again, adding the oil, but this time you can put it 1/4 tsp. or a thin stream at a time.
  13. Just make sure that while doing all this, you should keep beating.
  14. When all the oil is added, add 1 tbsp. of lemon juice, beat it properly, and taste.
  15. If you want your mayonnaise with more lemon flavour, add more juice.
  16. At the end, you will egt 2 cups of delicious, preservative free, Mayonnaise.
  17. Use this Mayonnaise in 2-3 days.
  18. Enjoy!!!
