According to Wikipedia :-
The earliest evidence of coffee drinking comes from 15th-century Yemen. By the late 15th century and early 16th century, coffee had spread to Cairo and Mecca. In the 1640s, the Ottoman Bosnian chronicler İbrahim Peçevi reported the opening of the first coffeehouse in Istanbul.
Recipe:-
Ingredients:-
- 1 cup of Water.
- 1 tbsp. extra fine Ground Coffee.
- 1 Cardamom Pod.
- Sugar to taste.(optional)
How To Make:-
- Bring the water and the sugar to a boil, in a saucepan.
- Take the saucepan off the heat.
- Add Coffee and Cardamom Pod to the Water and the Sugar.
- Put the saucepan on heat again until the coffee comes to a boil.
- Remove from heat after the Coffee Foams.
- Once again, put the saucepan on the heat till the coffee foams.
- Remove from heat after the Coffee foams.
- Pour into a cup and serve with a cardamom pod.
Tip:-
- If the coffee doesn't gain any foam, try to pour the coffee from a high point right above the cup.
